When I was in Orlando on vacation I caught an Orlando airport shuttle to my hotel and it was really inexpensive and a great way to travel. We also ate out a lot when we were in Florida. Dandelion is a good restaurant for the bohemian set. Everything is vegetarian and/or vegan, but you won’t miss the meat. Right now they have a sweet potato and quinoa burrito that is absolutely off the chain. Like Pomp Poem’s they also have a great selection of tea and unique beers. The best Thai food in Orlando is at Sea Thai. The location is in a tiny strip mall, but the food regularly gets the Orlando Sentinel’s top awards year after year. The soft shell crabs are great, and so is the leeched salmon. For night life, I don’t really have on favorite place. I personally hate clubs and most of the downtown club scene. But this place is a craft brew bar built inside an art gallery. The craziest part about this place is that if you can strike up a conversation at a normal speaking volume. The atmosphere is above average.

Should you visit Orlando, you need to just use the main Port Canaveral transportation shuttle and never a cab. Cabs are actually pricey in Florida. My pal referred to me to the next story.
